Your baby is not a baby anymore, and it’s time to prepare them for the next stop on their financial journey. Once your child turns 13 years old, we automatically advance them to a Future Funders account.

Pounce Accounts for Kids FAQ

What is the dividend rate on kids savings accounts?

For Pounce and Future Funders savings accounts, deposits up to $1,000 in the Youth Savings (Share 4) will earn a maximum dividend rate of 3.04%. Any additional deposits will receive the current SunWest secondary savings dividend rate.

Does the account get closed once they are 13?

Nope! Starting with a Pounce savings account is super convenient because it will automatically convert to a Future Funders (for ages 13-17), and then convert to a normal adult account after that. No closing and opening a new account every time, no changing membership number or online logins.

What are the prizes and how do we redeem them?

All of our branches are equipped with a toy chest with many different options that guarantee there’s something for any child’s delight. Simply bring your child into any branch with their Pounce card, and a representative will help them pick one out.
