Can I use any ATM?
You can use any ATM that accepts Mastercard©, however, an ATM from a financial institution other than SunWest (foreign ATM) may charge a fee. SunWest partners with the CO-OP Network, as well as Allpoint to give you fee-free options throughout the United States, and even certain international countries.
Does SunWest charge ATM fees?
You will never be charged for using your card at a SunWest ATM, and you can use other ATMs 6 times each month with no fee from us. If you go over that 6, you may see a “Foreign ATM Fee” of $5 on your account. Keep in mind that although SunWest may not charge a fee to use another ATM, the terminal provider may, so it’s important to check before using their ATM.
Can I go negative in my account?
Youth accounts (accounts where the primary owner is a minor) are not eligible for overdraft courtesy. However, due to the nature of preauthorizations and how merchants run transactions, there is a possibility the account could go into the negative. If this happens, the account will not be charged a fee. Any negative balance must be paid back within 30 days, or the account could be subject to closure.
